  • Yes, you may decorate the hall in any way you wish, however please take care to ensure that no damage is done to the hall in the process.

    The hall MUST be returned undamaged and clean – this includes paintwork etc…

    PLEASE DO NOT STICK ANYTHING TO THE PAINTWORK OR WALLS.

  • Yes, you may hire your own chairs & tables.

  • Yes you may have a bouncy castle in the hall or in the garden. Please check the size of the bouncy castle against the village hall dimensions. We can recommend a trusted local supplier - KBS Inflatable Kingdom

  • Only the plastic chairs may be used in the garden.

    All tables can be used in the garden.

  • No we don’t, but you are welcome to bring your own.

  • Yes you are. Please ensure that any band or DJ has the correct public liability insurance. If you are holding a private party a licence for playing music is not required, but please check with your band or DJ if you are holding a public event.

  • There is not a built in sound system, however we do have a PA system with microphone which you can use if needed.

  • You can have a hog roast or BBQ in the garden. Please mind the grass and clear up all debris.

  • Yes, but please ensure that this is within the time limits of your booking.

  • Yes, please have them delivered and taken away within your hire time.

  • Yes, please have them delivered and taken away within your hire time.

  • Smoking is not permitted inside the hall/kitchen/toilets. Smoking is permitted outside, but please dispose of cigarette butts with your rubbish. DO NOT leave them in the garden or outside the hall.

  • Yes, you may bring in outside caterers for your event.

  • Yes, you can serve alcohol.

  • Yes, you can sell alcohol, but you will need a TEN (Temporary Events Notice) which can be obtained from Wealden District Council. You need to obtain this at least 3 weeks prior to your event.

    If you are hiring in a mobile bar then the operator must have a licence to sell alcohol.

  • Animals are not allowed in the hall or garden.

  • You can use tea lights in holders that are at least 3cm higher than the flame.

  • There are a small number of parking spaces opposite the hall. Extra parking is on the lane and in the no-through road adjacent to Old Eridge Road. (The old A26)

  • Approximately 6-8 cars can fit in to the parking area opposite the hall.

  • All music/noise must stop at midnight.

  • Yes, please allow for the time you need to set up your event and to clean up afterwards. The hall is very busy and there is no time allowed between bookings for any of this.

  • Please see the facilities page for cleaning equipment available at the hall.

    Please note that you will need to take along your own cleaning products, tea towels and wash cloths.

  • All rubbish must be taken away with you at the end of your event.
